Matt Galvin is a globally recognized leader in corporate ethics, compliance, and legal risk transformation. He is the Co-Founder of Gentic Global Advisors, a boutique legal advisory firm helping clients integrate data, analytics, and technology into compliance and governance strategies.
He is also the Co-Founder and U.S. Director of Transforming Legal, a global digital transformation boutique composed of legal innovation experts and technologists dedicated to helping legal and compliance functions modernize and scale responsibly. In addition, he co-founded Integrity Distributed, a non-profit dedicated to democratizing access to frontline legal and compliance technologies.
Matt’s career bridges high-level public service and cutting-edge private sector leadership. As the former Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at AB InBev, he pioneered the development of BrewRIGHT, a first-of-its-kind global compliance analytics platform. During his time in government, he played a central role in shaping U.S. Department of Justice policy on data, internal controls, and corporate compliance programs—and led the adoption of advanced technologies to detect and prosecute white-collar crime.
Matt has led investigations in over 30 jurisdictions and consults with global boards, regulators, and executives on how to leverage data and AI to build resilient, high-integrity organizations. He is a frequent speaker and trusted advisor on compliance innovation, governance, and risk management.
Matt has held positions with the OECD advisory group on anti-bribery, the Sorbonne, MIT, Harvard, and Fordham law. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Hong Kong, with bar admission pending in the District of Columbia. He has practiced in the U.S. and Asia, and is fluent in Mandarin.
